Join the Desert Research Institute's (DRI) Science Alive program for a three-day, two-night expedition to Mars! Grizzly Creek Ranch will be our mission control center as we journey through a series of activities transporting us from Earth to the Red Planet. Through hands-on exploration, we will explore the many factors NASA scientists and engineers have to consider when planning human missions to Mars.

Activities include:
- Learn team building and communication skills on a challenge course
- Engage in engineering & design challenges
- Participate in complex, simulated missions

Come kick off your fall break with us!

Thanks to generous funding provided by the Nevada Space Consortium, this experience is being offered for FREE and includes meals and lodging. Transportation will be provided to/from Reno - students will depart from the Desert Research Institute and be dropped off at the Challenger Learning Center. The Mars Exploration Camp will be hosted at Sierra Nevada Journeys' beautiful Grizzly Creek Ranch campus, located 50 miles north of Reno. Their modern facilities include 1,500 acres for us to explore and learn together.
