School Closure

School Closure
Posted on 04/15/2020

Dear Bailey Charter families,

As of today – Wednesday, April 15 – Governor Sisolak has mandated that our school remain closed until the end of this month.  The earliest possible date that we might return to school is Monday, May 4.  However, this is subject to change if our local, state, or federal authorities extend the closure into May or beyond.  As always, we will keep you updated with phone calls like this one, and on our Facebook page at facebook.com/baileycharter.

We have prepared additional packets for all students containing work for the next two weeks, as well as updated information for families regarding Distance Learning.  Learning packets will be available for pick-up at school this Thursday, April 16 (tomorrow) and Friday, April 17 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

If you have completed paper packets from Week 1 and Week 2 of Distance Learning and you would like to turn them in, we will be accepting them at this time.  This is not a requirement, just an option for those of you who are interested.

During packet pick-up this Thursday and Friday, we will also be sending home Progress Reports for the 3rd Quarter.  To protect our students’ privacy, a parent or guardian must be present to collect Progress Reports.  If you are unable to send a parent or guardian, someone will still be able to pick up Distance Learning packets on your behalf, but your student’s Progress Report will be sent home in the mail.

We also have a little something special for each student, so we hope to see your family this week.  As always, if you have any questions, you can leave us a voicemail at (775) 323-6767 ext. 115, email us at info@baileycharter.org, or send us a message at facebook.com/baileycharter.

Sincerely,
Michelle Engebretson
Principal
