School Closure - 4/27/20

School Closure
Posted on 04/27/2020

Dear Bailey Charter families,

On Tuesday, April 21, Governor Steve Sisolak announced that Nevada school buildings will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.  We will continue with Distance Learning for the rest of this school year, and we hope to begin the 2020-2021 school year in person with all of you.

While we understand that the health and safety of our students and our community must always come first, on a personal note, we are so sad that we will not see your children in our classrooms again this year.  We all became educators because we love working with students, and we miss them every single day.

That being said, this school year is not over.  Distance Learning will continue until June 4, our last day of school.  This time of transition requires a lot of adjustment on our part, and all of our plans will need to be approved by the Nevada Department of Education.  We will keep you updated with the most current information we have via phone calls like this one and on our Facebook page.

Please know that, even though our building is closed, we are still here for you.  If there is anything we can do to support your family, you can leave us a message at (775) 323-6767 ext. 101, email us at info@baileycharter.org or send us a message at facebook.com/baileycharter.

Sincerely,
Michelle Engebretson
Principal
